BLIND
SPOT is a new collaborative work by
Dutch artist Roland Schimmel and American composer David
Lopato. It was first exhibited at Plaatsmaken in Arnhem in
September 2004 and more recently at the Kleurbeurs exhibition
at Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam in February 2005. it will also
be shown in Aalst, Belgium this summer. It consists of three short
films, created entirely through computer-generated image and sound,
which are looped indefinitely and projected simultaneously on
the walls of three separate dark, soundproofed rooms. The viewer
roams from one room to the next as he or she wishes.
